Why Kids Should Attend Catechism Class

 Anna Cherian

I started catechism class in first grade. I still remember, back then, I would always ask my mom if we could go to English mass, because then we could get home faster. Even so, my parents still took me to Malayalam church and I continued to attend catechism class. The first year was boring for me, but eventually my attitude changed. Now, I am in grade three, I feel excited to go to church, and participate in catechism class and meet  my amazing  friends. As I grow older, I am more and more interested in learning about God and the Bible. I believe that catechism is really helping me to understand what it means to be a Catholic, and it is giving me a good foundation to live by.
