Training Opportunities

If you, or someone you know, is looking for a job, there are a number of government funded training programs available across Alberta. The Employment and Training Services Directory can show you the programs available in your area. Programs include:

-          short-term training and skills development

-          career counselling

-          job matching

-          résumé and cover letter writing

-          interview skills

Please note that you may need to be a permanent resident or Canadian citizen to be eligible for some programs.

Job Fairs

To stay up to date on job fairs happening around Alberta, make regular visits to the Alberta Job and Career Fairs webpage and the alis Career Events webpage.

Job fairs are a valuable opportunity to connect directly with employers. A little preparation will make sure you give yourself the best chance of success.

You can also visit an Alberta Works or Alberta Supports Centre in your area, or call the Alberta Career Information Hotline to speak with an expert about your career and employment options.
